ABA Photo Quiz

ABA Online Bird Photo Quiz

Quiz Rules

  1. An answer, consisting simply of the Common or English name exactly as it appears in the ABA Checklist, must be submitted using the official ABA Online Bird Photo Quiz form. Answers submitted by any other means will not be considered.
  2. Only one submission will be accepted per person. Multiple submissions will not be considered.
  3. A new bird photo will be posted each month. We will post the names of all participants who submit the correct answer by the deadline posted with each month's photo quiz.
  4. Each prize period will consist of six consecutive quizzes. The participant with the most correct answers out of the six quizzes will be awarded the Grand Prize. In the event of a tie, a winner will be selected by a random drawing held at the ABA offices.
  5. ABA Board and Staff members, including family members, are not eligible to win the Grand Prize although they are eligible to participate. They will be recognized along with the other correctly answering participants.
  6. Winners of the Grand Prize will be recognized on a "Prize Winner" page and will be asked to submit a short bio and photo for display on our Winner's Page.
  7. Grand Prize winners are encouraged to continue to play the Bird Quiz, and will be recognized as such, but are only eligible to win the Grand Prize once. Grand Prize winners will be "retired" to a "Hall of Fame" page, featuring the photos and bios of past winners. In the event that a past winner does submit the most correct answers, the Grand Prize will be given to the second place participant.
  8. The correct answer to the photo quiz will be at the discretion of the Photo Quiz editor. Any challenges to the ID can be taken up with THE EDITOR! (Who, incidentally, will be out of town birding and unable to get back to you in anything approaching a timely manner.)
  9. No swearing or gum chewing allowed.
